Meme Bitcoin (MBTC) is the protocol’s base token. It explicitly includes the word “meme” because the entire protocol is intended as an experiment, and the base token should be seen as a collectible rather than a utility.

MBTC will be launched through an Ordinals mint, gated by an allowlist to avoid snipers. Access to the allowlist will be made as fairly as possible, for example through using Bones Protocol. The mint will be free.

The supply of MBTC will be [REDACTED], and it will be deflationary since MBTC is burned, for example, during the sealing of relics.
